Native Japan Mangas has been glued then varnished to give this style of paperized canvas. Characters have been designed thanks to Posca markers, then filled and outlined with acrylics; some Gesso has been used for perfect white. Once finished, a glossy acryclic varnished has been applied. Just for information, it is more than 50 hours of work to design such an original artwork ! For more pictures and details, the best is to reach my Flickr Gallery to view this album.

[US] For this Canvas, I used Lao newspapers I carefully ripped avoiding areas of color as the glue highlights them. to set up, I used gluing coat, being careful to glue the edges well so they do not rise. Once completely dry after one good day, I applied two layers of sealer coat to seal the paper before applying the paint to prevent water and the color going into the frames of the paper. For the creation, it is Posca for the overall design, two layers of gesso on all opaque white zones, and acrylic for all solids.

[US] Always in newspapers serie, and this time it is Indian papers ! The most interesting with used newspapers is that these are from different titles with different qualities and colors of paper. This reinforces the impression of patchwork! I also tried a new « effect » to materialize the flight of the angel!

Angels … definitely an inspiration from the latest album of Parov Stellar Trio constantly running right now!
