| [FR] L'idée pour cette commande était de faire une icône, genre icône orthodoxe, avec un support en fond réalisé à partir de journaux cambodgiens. J'ai renversé le principe habituel en colorant le fond et non le personnage. Pour ce faire, j'ai d'abord passé une bonne couche de Gesso pour faire mon fond puis j'ai appliqué 7 ou 8 couches de peinture or pour avoir quelque chose de très uniforme... et au final on a l'impression d'avoir un lingot 😉 Le tout reste très lumineux avec le personnage qui se détache parfaitement du fond ! | [US] The general idea for this command was to make an icon, a kind of orthodox icon, with a support base made from Cambodian newspapers. I reversed the usual principle coloring the background, not the character. To do this, I first apply a coat of Gesso to my background then I applied 7 or 8 layers of gold paint to have something very uniform ... and it seems having an ingot;-) The creation is really bright with the character who stands out perfectly from the bottom! |
