[FR] Cela faisait pas mal de temps que je cherchais comment travailler sur une idée d’énergie, après quelques essais, je me suis rendu compte que la toile déchirée où la première laissait apparaitre celle de dessous fonctionnait assez bien. Après question couleurs, je me suis dit qu’il fallait taper dans le pétant : Rouge et jaune plus le blanc pour matérialiser la déchirure.Petit aparté musical, pour signaler la sortie du dernier album de Parov Stellar, The Princess… un bijou absolu !

[US] It’s been quite a while I was looking for an idea how to work on energy effect, after some experimentation I realized that the ripped canvas where the first layer appear below the second one worked well. For colors matter, I thought about luminous red and yellow plus white for the tear.And for the inspiration, I just want to signal the last album of Parov Stellar, The Princess … an absolute gem !

[FR] Beaucoup de travail, presque 2 mois, pour ce tableau avec pas loin d’une dizaine de couches entre le Gesso, le blanc des os puis la couleurs des personnages et le bleu électrique pour terminer ! Au final, le rendu est intéressant, lorsque le tableau est vraiment sous vos yeux, on a la sensation que les os tombent, littéralement.
Comme j’ai eu pas mal de question là dessus, l’ordre dans lequel la toile a été composée est d’abord du blanc pour les os, puis le dessin et la peinture des personnages pour terminer avec le bleu en arrière plan… bref du plus clair au plus foncé, je me voyais pas bien faire les os à la fin !

[US] Lot of work, nearly two months, for this canvas with around 10 layers of painting : Gesso, white for bones, colors of the characters and finally the electric blue on background ! The global rendering is interesting with a feeling that bones are fallen on background when you’re in front of.
As I’ve lot of questions about that, the order in which the canvas has been painted is first white for bones, colors for characters then blue at the end… from the brightest to the darkest. I thought it was difficult to paint the bones at last !

Vintage Aliens… ready for T-Shirts ?

Voilà un petit moment que ça me trottait dans la tête et que pas mal d’entre vous m’avaient sollicité pour en faire, je suis chaud sur le sujet ! Après un Tee-Shirt, oui, mais un Tee-Shirt sympa, un peu différent de ce qu’on voit et fidèle à la création.Après quelques minutes passées sur mes albums photos, j’ai rapidement trouvé que celle-là serait l’élue ! Ensuite, un coup de retouche avec mon Mac favori et ses copains SnapHeal et Flare et le tour était joué… il ne me reste plus qu’à trouver comment les fabriquer sachant que je suis pas fan des trucs collés qui ne tiennent pas et dont les couleurs disparaissent au bout d’un lavage… bref, je cherche, mais ça devrait ressembler à quelque chose comme ci-dessous ! Si vous avez des conseils, j’en suis preneur !!

I thought about it a long time ago and a lot of you had asked me to do some, so I’m hot on the subject! After a T-shirt, yes, but a nice T-shirt, a bit different from what we see and faithful to the creation.After a few minutes on my photo albums, I quickly found that this one would be the chosen one! Then, once editing with my favorite Mac and his friends, SnapHeal and Flare, and that was done … it remains for me to find how to make them knowing that I am not a big fan technics with stickers or when colors disappear after the first wash … So, I’m searching for a solution, but it should look something like below! If you have any advice, I’m interested in!
